The project involves the construction of heating systems for a new administration and laboratory building with an integrated experimental hall and workshop at the Bergische Universität Wuppertal. The building, located on the university's campus, will be connected to the university's internal steam network for heating energy. The heating system will supply heat to air handling units (RLT), concrete core activation in the experimental hall, and heating circuit distributors in the laboratory and office areas. The scope includes the installation of compact heat transfer stations, heat exchangers, pumps, valves, and associated piping and insulation. The building consists of eight floors, from the technical floor to the 5th floor. The heat will be transferred via two redundant steam transfer stations to the building's heating distributor. Separate heating circuits will feed the RLT systems, the concrete core activation in the experimental hall, and the heating circuit distributors in the laboratory and office areas. Risers will be installed in the riser shafts, supplying the respective heating circuit distributors on each floor. Heat distribution will be achieved through underfloor heating systems, which will also be used for basic cooling in the summer. The RLT systems are located in the mezzanine floor and on the roof, supplied with heat via separate heating circuits. All supply lines (steam, condensate) in the ground will be laid by the building's connection lines trade. The installation is generally to be carried out as a visible installation, as only acoustically effective baffles are used. The pipes are continuously visible. The floor slabs are designed as composite wood-concrete slabs with the following structure (from bottom to top): 20 cm veneer plywood with upright lamellas, BauBuche GL 75, 10 cm concrete C50/60. This design is used in the areas above the 1st to 5th floors, axis D-E/1-8 and B-C/1-8. When fastening to these ceilings, the necessary pre-drilling for mounting screws / threaded rods must be included in the calculation. All other ceilings in all floors are made of 25 cm reinforced concrete C30/37. The project also includes the installation of various components such as shut-off valves, dirt traps, thermometers, pressure gauges, safety valves, and electronic controls. The contractor is responsible for filling the heating system with desalinated water and providing documentation on the materials used. The contractor must adhere to the Baustellen- und Montageordnung (construction site and assembly regulations) of the Bergische Universität Wuppertal.
